With freezing temperatures across much of the country, we’re seeing lots of customers with boiler problems caused by frozen condensate pipes.
If you’re not getting heating or hot water, here’s a quick and easy fix to try yourself.
It could save you having to wait for an engineer to get things working again.
How to Thaw a frozen pipe
- Find your boiler’s waste pipe outside
- Place a hot water bottle on the pipe
- Or pour hot (but not boiling) water over the pipe
- Once the pipe has thawed, your boiler should work again
- You may need to reset your boiler to get things working again.
