Through our contract with Onward Homes, we have been working with Woolton High School in Liverpool to deliver careers sessions for their year 10 and year 11 students.

Woolton High is a secondary school for learners with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, who might struggle to understand how they are going to enter the world of work. We worked with teacher Karl Monti to devise 6 x 45 minute Q&A sessions with our administration, operational and IS teams. This gave the students a great opportunity to hear real life stories about different routes to work, challenges faced and ability to ask questions in a relaxed format. Karl commented:

“Thank you to PH Jones for finding the time to visit Woolton High School to speak to our students about their individual journeys through their careers so far. All of our students and staff found it interesting and informative. It was a great opportunity for our students to be able to listen to and ask questions about your experiences. Thankyou again for your time, it was much appreciated.”

The sessions were delivered by our expert teams using volunteering days to support our social value objectives and local communities in which we work. Its really great to see so many staff getting involved to help the workers of the future and we really gave them food for thought on their options, hopefully with a bit of humour thrown in!

Thank you all again for your time!
