Having a ball for Shelter
PH Jones recently put its social value hat on, for a charity auction evening dinner and raised a fantastic total of £3,200 for our charity partner Shelter.
The event was held at the Manchester 235 casino and over 100 people attended including suppliers, customers and members of the PH Jones sales and management team.
Stephen Currey, Business Development Manager for PH Jones, organised the event and said “It’s great to be able to support our charity partner Shelter. The night was so successful that we are broadening our reach to run a second charity event in Scotland to enable us to reach out to new Scotland based clients that didn’t attend our Manchester event.”
The event included a charity auction and raffle to raise funds for Shelter, various prizes including a HIVE system, a Potterton boiler and tickets to sports events.
Shelter can use the money raised to make a huge difference to the lives of people facing bad housing and homelessness across Britain. The £3,200 raised could help 90 families to find and keep a home, or fund a Shelter helpline advisor for 120 hours, helping to give crucial advice to 840 people struggling with bad housing and homelessness.
