At PH Jones, we are committed to nurturing talent and supporting young people on their career journeys. This past couple of weeks, we had the privilege of engaging with aspiring minds at three impactful events held in Dudley and Ipswich, empowering students with insights into the world of work.

Our first event was at Beacon Hill High School in Dudley, where we had the pleasure of joining a business breakfast for year 8 students. Here, we shared our experiences and insights into STEM careers and apprenticeships within our business. It was inspiring to see the enthusiasm and curiosity among the students as they explored potential pathways for their future. Zoe Turton, Careers Lead at Dudley Academies Trust, expressed her gratitude, saying: “We would like to say thank-you so much for giving up a few hours on Monday to speak to all the Year 8 learners at Beacon Hill Academy. The learners and staff really enjoyed hearing from you about your careers journeys.”

Later in the week, we had the opportunity to connect with the whole school through the school’s career fair. Our team engaged with students, offering guidance and support as they navigated the array of career options before them. These interactions not only provided valuable information but also sparked inspiration and ambition in the hearts of these future leaders.

Finally in Ipswich, our commitment to supporting early careers and apprenticeships continued as we participated in a Career Fair at Ipswich Academy. Over 1,000 students had the chance to learn about the diverse opportunities available within our industry.

These events were made possible through the collaborative efforts of our team and support social value contributions for our contracts with Ipswich Council and Dudley Metropolitan Council. Six local volunteers generously gave their time to contribute to the initiatives, furthering our mission to make a positive impact in the communities we serve.
