Last week, a team of 20 PH Jones colleagues, including Directors, senior leaders and engineers, came together at Atherton Cricket Club for a day of volunteering to help improve this much-loved community facility. Working side by side, the team removed overgrown shrubs from the boundary, refreshed the perimeter with paint, cleaned and tidied seating areas and potted new plants to create a more welcoming environment for players, volunteers and visitors alike.
Atherton Cricket Club plays an important role in bringing people together in Wigan, providing opportunities for sport, social connection and wellbeing for local residents of all ages. As a volunteer-led organisation, the club relies heavily on the dedication and support of its members and the wider community to maintain its facilities.
