At PH Jones, Mental Health Awareness Week has been an important opportunity to reflect, connect and, most importantly, take action.
Through a range of initiatives and shared experiences, colleagues have come together to prioritise wellbeing, support one another, and continue building a culture where everyone feels heard and supported. These included:
Leading by example: We were proud to begin the week with a powerful and personal video message from our Director, Andy Ball, who shared his own experiences and reflected on why taking action for mental health matters.
Getting active: We launched our PH Jones Strava Community this week. Open to colleagues across the business, it encourages everyone to take part in simple activities like walking or running and getting outdoors. Five minutes or five miles, the focus is on creating an opportunity move for better wellbeing. This initiative will continue beyond the week itself, evolving into ongoing “Wellbeing Wednesdays” – a regular opportunity to prioritise mental health together.
Culture of support: Alongside these activities, we’ve continued to highlight the support available to our teams via our Wellbeing Hub and our network of Mental Health First Aiders- trained colleagues who provide a listening ear and guidance to get help for those who need it.
While Mental Health Awareness Week provides a vital focus, it is just one step in an ongoing journey. At PH Jones, we remain committed to keeping wellbeing at the forefront of how we work, collaborate and support one another.
Let’s keep the conversation going!
